What do you believe about karma?

I truly believe Karma affects everything we do, everyone we meet, and virtually every aspect of our being. That said, I also believe in Free Will and what we DO with the Karmic Interactions is so up to us and that is the dangerously delicious dilemnas we deal with every moment of our lives.

Gotta Love That Karma!

What was the most difficult promise you made?

Maybe I am being the world's greatest rationalizer, but I feel promises are a guideline...not something carved in stone. Circumstances change, life changes, we change, so I feel that any promise made has an ESCAPE CLAUSE. I never hold people to promises, as they are often made in the spur of the moment and actually I never promise anything that would be considered HUGE...

When I reread this I realzie there could be a lot of introspection I might want to consider doing around this issue...I promise I will get to it...

When do you most love coming home?

I carry home with me, as I feel that whereever I am is where my true home is. Yes, I DO believe that home is where the heart is, but I take it a lot more literally. If I am in a hotel, that room is "home" for that period of time. If I am visiting a friend, "home" is being at their house.

My divine spark of essence is HOME to me - ahhhhhhh!

Being even COOLER than I am NOW! So there!

My grandmother lived to be 97 and kept us laughing up until she decided she was done with this turn at Earth School. She told my sister she was tired of being here and ready to go and then she did...

THAT is fabulous!

What would you miss most about your home?

We live right on a very quiet lake in the midst of the forest. I would miss absolutely everything...the total and complete quiet of the winters, the noise the lake makes as it freezes over, the first day that birds start singing when they return in the spring, finding chipmunk treasure troves of nuts in the oddest places, the clear, fresh air, the feel of unspoiled land under my feet, the knowledge that we are one generation away from this having been wilderness, and more than anything the feeling of being a caretaker for a very special spot on this Earth.

The financial end of life. Since I knew what money was I have always just known the Universe would provide for me...and it has. That has served me well, but sometimes I feel I have used that as an excuse to not bother learning about all the ins and outs of finances,....sigh.There is a big old lesson here and I have not fully allowed it in...one of these days, huh?

Yappy-chihuahuas
How to REALLY stay in the NOW and be able to accept those little life annoyances that nip at me like caffienated Chihuahuas...nip, nip, nip..."Husband dribbled coffee all over the counters and ingnored it," "How could too people dirty so many dishes," "Why do people pick on Oprah, who cares how much she weights, she is great," "I hate house-cleaning," "Why can my dogs not learn to consistently pee outside?" and so on and so forth.....

Help me, Eckhart!

What is the best thing about anger?

Posted on Dec 13th, 2008 by Kathy : Being Me Kathy
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for December 13, 2008:

Personally, I find anger draining and counter productive. My husband feels it clears the air...all anger does is make a big, yukky knot in the pit of my stomach. I know we are here to experience all the ranges of human emotions and ciscumstances...but anger is one that puzzles me.

I suppose the anger one feels when seeing a heinous situation that galvanizes you into action would be the type of answer that would be considered "correct." But I still feel a strong, passion for doing what is right could be just as motivating....

Hmmm, Guess I will be pondering this one for a bit.

What is your idea of heaven?

There are many different kinds of heaven...to me...there is the heaven when you bite into a perfect peach or luscious bit of chocolate, there is heaven when your dog snuggles up in your lap and shares all the love there is, there is heaven when you feel that overwhelming moment of BE-ING in the NOW (which is usually too fleeting-ahhh) and then there is the concept of heaven that is on the Other Side wiating for us to come back to ...the heaven where we rejuvinate before we pop back down here to do it all again...

Ahhh...HEAVEN!

Isn't is usually the simple things that take yor breath? For me it was watching my little French Bulldog, EZBoy, who is paralyzed in his rear end play...he was rolling on his back with a toy...tossing it about and stretching and rolling and truly wallowing in just how fabulous that moment felt to him. I literally gasped at the perfection of his glee....

I count happiness by perfect moments - so I have had milions of them. With my permanent rose colored glasses in place, I take my lessons from the cosmic 2 x 4s, assimilate what I can and then MOVE ON!!!!

Here's to millions and millions more happy moments! Like rightnow...posting made me happy - whoohoo!!!!!

To whatever made their heart sing...a humane shelter if looking into the eyes of homeless animals and making their days a little better was it, a soup kitchen if helping those who are in need, a library reading to children if the printed word makes them thrilled, whatever is near and dear to the heart would be the way to go....

What does winter mean for you?

Posted on Dec 21st, 2008 by Kathy : Being Me Kathy
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for December 21, 2008:

101_3001
My husband and I live a life very much dictated by teh seasons...winter if below zero highs for days (has been weeks) at a time. Winter means snow, snow, snow. Winter means ice fishing business starts up. Winter means extra TC for the alpacas and my little horse. Winter means having any travel (even to the end of the driveway) dictated by the weather. Winter means beautiful, crystal clear silence. Winter means times of deep introspection. Winter means delving deep into my essence and examining ME.

Ahhhh....the delighiful, delicious dilemmas of winter. I love it here yet at times my entire being screams..."CAN WE MOVE TO SEDONA?"

I also completely tearing into gifts...the ripping off of the paper with glee and seeing what someone feels I would enjoy.
